Welcome to Dr. Karen Holl's Research Website

Research in Dr. Holl’s lab focuses on understanding factors limiting recovery of ecosystems from human-induced disturbance and using this information to design restoration strategies.  Members of the Holl lab work in a range of ecosystems in California and in Latin America.  Lab members work closely with land owners and conservation organizations to exchange information about ecosystem restoration, and aim to apply the results of their research to land management and policy decisions.
