I am thrilled to announce that my lab has just published a public Global Reforestation Organization Directory in collaboration with Mongabay. We score how well 128 global tree-growing organizations commit to following permanence, ecological, social, and financial best practices. Our goal with this site is to: (i) help potential funders identify organizations that share similar priorities and commit to the highest standards in reforestation efforts, and (ii) incentivize reforestation organizations to more clearly communicate their policies and develop more transparent reporting and data sharing practices.
